BBQ Cooking Demo on Weber Pulse 1000 and Pulse 2000
So, we've had lots of questions on ourYouTube channel, Facebook - can you cook a
joint in the new Pulse barbecues? Wellyou can, we've never tried it so we're
going to try it today. So we're going tocook the lamb shoulder and the belly of
pork. I'm going to use the tandoori rubon the lamb and the herb on the pork. So
just going to put them in a tin tray, throw it in there like that, sprinkle that
over there - lovely. Really get that inthere.
And that really will get into that pork.Just get a bit of salt and pepper in
there, so that's everything you need. It's one ofour favorite rubs that we use with the pork.
That's the pork ready, and we'll changethese gloves quickly because I don't
want the same rub going on the lamb. So, the tandoori, the lamb
this is gonna be interesting, never tried thisbefore but there's first time for everything.
Look at that, the colour of that now.
Beautiful.
Rub that in.
So the next stage is we're going to putit on to the two Pulse barbecues.
So, we're now ready to put the joints intothe Pulses - the Pulse 1000, I'm going to
put the belly a pork in there, I want ita really high temperature so I can get
that crackling at the maximum, that willbe for about half an hour so let's get
the first joint in. That's lovely and hot.Just put that in there like that and then on the
Pulse 2000 we're gonna be about 195 to 200,and just slowly cooking this lamb, just
nice and gently, and away we go.Just in the Weber tinfoil there and
we'll come back later on and have a lookhow it's going. Right so it's been a half
an hour, so let's have a look. Ohlook at that!
Now that crackling is just perfect sonow I'm going to turn it down to about
190, 200, and leave that for about twohours and that should be fine. Well
maybe hour and a half, we'll check itabout hour and a half. So the lamb's
been on for about two and half hours now, just do a check on temperature, I like
it about 60, and she's at 61 so that'sperfect, absolutely perfect, so let's get
that off. Oh, smells gorgeous, absolutelygorgeous.
Right, so I've let it rest for about10-15 minutes and now I'm gonna try this -
would you like to try a bit Sara? Yes please!Oh look at that, perfect! Oh look at that,
my favourite.
Tuck in Sara, don't be shy, that's lovely. Ifanything I would say it's a little bit
overdone for what I like, but mostpeople, and it's lovely and tender, that
is perfect. And that's how you cook a legof lamb on the Pulse 2000, and the
reason I haven't used the iGrill of thePulse today is because I'm using two
Pulses they'll conflict with eachother
that's why I'll just use the ordinary probe. So this has been cooking for about two
hours. That looksamazing just check the
temperature oh yeah, 69 so by the timeI leave that to rest for 5 or 10 minutes
that'll be fine.Let's get that baby off.
Oh, look at that. That looks perfect.
Okay Sara, do you fancy trying a bit ofthis pork? Certainly do. Oh, that is
perfect. That is absolutely perfect, thenobviously you've got to be a bit careful
the string, that just in this demonstrationdoesn't matter. Oh that pork is
absolutely superb. Try that and see whatyou think of the rub, just take that
bit of string out.Mm, that's really tasty.
This is the rub I used for this, and weused the tandoori on the lamb and that
was superb as well. That is so simple todo. Well this is cooked on the Pulse 1000,
very simple to do and look at that -absolutely perfect. If you need any more
